Day 1: Fitness and Nutrition Basics: Where to Start

Day 1: Fitness and Nutrition Basics: Where to Start

Getting fit doesn't take a perfect plan. It takes a few habits you can repeat.

Move most days. Health guidelines recommend about 150 minutes of moderate activity a week. That's roughly 30 minutes, five days a week. Walking, playing a sport, or a home workout all count.

Build strength. Strength training twice a week supports muscle, joints, and metabolism. Bodyweight moves and resistance bands are enough to begin.

Eat real food. Build meals around protein, vegetables, fruit, and whole grains. Drink water through the day.

Recover. Sleep and rest days are when your body actually gets stronger.

Start small, stay consistent, and add more as it gets easier. Tomorrow: the gear that makes starting simple.
